Friday Evening Triples League

With the final week completed we draw a close the our 2026 Triples League season.
I'd like to thank all the team leaders for their efforts in ensuring that virtually all games were played.
In thanking all the players who took part, I am thanking around half of the clubs entire membership, which is an indication of how popular this league has been. So I thank you all for turning out almost every Friday throughout the season.
Further to this I'd like to thank you all for supporting the, no, YOUR club, by socialising after each game and taking part in Chasing the Joker, in the hope that you could catch this slipery character and win his prize. It is so good to see so many of you stopping after games and creating such a great and happy atmosphere within our unique club.
The club wishes you all the best and we hope to see you all in the league next year. But before that we also hope to see many of you playing in the various indoor leagues available.
Congratulations go to John Slaght and his team of George Parsons, Ann Haunton, Elaine Roberts, Andy Wood, Paul Wells and Lesley Newport for winning the 2026 league.
The fact that there was only 18 points seperating the entire league and indead only 6 points between 2nd and 8th position shows how even the competition has been this year.
Finally, many thanks go to Gary and Lynne Plant for doing an excellent job organising, managing the cards and updating the league. Thank you both very much.
RINK ALLOCATION
Rinks allocation is shown for the normal situation when the Green 2 will be used for all matches.
The draw is configured so that each team will have 3-4 matches on each rink.
On weeks when there are sufficient rinks available on Green 1 there will be an option for the league to use it.
Why not stay on after and enter our "Chase the Joker" for £1 for a chance to win a minimum of £5 or, if you catch the joker, significantly more. The jackpot increases every week and has previously reached over £600!!.
